“Food for five years, a thousand gallons of gas, air filtration, water filtration, Geiger counter. Bomb shelter! Underground…damn monsters.”–Burt Gummer
Tremors–it’s like Jaws, except on land and more funny than scary. There’s not much else to say about this one. The kids wanted another monster movie after Ragnarok, and this one fit the bill. Critic Brian McKay calls it, “a 90’s comedy-horror film with 50’s B-movie panache,” and that’s about as good a description as anyone is likely to come up with. We all enjoyed it, and it’s getting harder and harder all the time to come across something we all like, so I reckon that’s recommendation enough in my book.
